Shipping Policy

Order Shipment

General Information

We know that once you have placed an order with us, you want to receive it without delay, so for most shipments we use the most well known, reliable delivery companies in America: UPS and FedEx using standard ground parcel freight service. Rarely, we will ship an order via the United States Postal Service. Expedited or express service is available for most items shipped via UPS or FedEx. If expedited or express service is not available for a product, it is stated on the product detail page. The rates will be higher for expedited and express service. See 'Parcel Freight' in the 'Shipping Methods' section below for more information

UPS and FedEx do not ship individual items that weigh 150 pounds or more, we automatically ship those items via truck freight using LTL shipping services. Any other items in the same order are shipped using the method that you select during the checkout process. See 'Truck Freight' in the 'Shipping Methods' section below for more information

We primarily ship your purchase directly from the manufacturer to you, and as such, different items you purchase may be shipped from different locations. Your items may arrive on different days and with different shipping methods if you purchase items of more than one brand or if you place more than one order at the same time. This is quite common and does not result in higher shipping charges. See the 'Shipping' section in our 'Frequently Asked Questions' (FAQ's) for more information.

Pre-Ship

All of our suppliers have a pre-ship order processing time. This is the time it will take for your order to be processed and prepared for shipment from the warehouse or distribution center. The pre-ship processing time varies according to each manufacturer’s policies and practices. Some items will be shipped within 24 hours, while other items might require several days. Custom or personalized items take longer to ship. Approximate pre-ship times are shown for each of our products on the product detail screen as ‘Usually Ships Within’. Also, see 'When Will My Order Arrive' in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s).

Shipping Methods

NO delivery can be made to a PO Box.

Shipping transit time does not include manufacturer’s shipment processing time. (See 'Pre Ship' above.)

• Parcel Freight: Most products will be delivered by standard ground shipping service (FedEx, UPS, or USPS). The average transit time is between 3-6 days for any destination in the contiguous United States. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii takes longer. We will email your tracking information to you as soon as your items are shipped.
  Note: If you purchase multiple ground shipping items, they may be shipped via truck freight instead at the discretion of the manufacturer. This is done to be more efficient and reduce cost of shipping. Shipping charges for your order, if any, will reflect the savings for shipments made in this manner.
• Truck Freight: If the shipping package for the product is larger than the maximum size accepted by USPS, FedEx, or UPS, it will be shipped via truck freight. Truck freight shipments usually take between 4-7 business days in transit to arrive. We will email your tracking information to you as soon as your items are shipped.
  Note: The shipping company will call you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment window. In general, a signature is required and somebody must be there to receive the order. Please note that if you are not available for a delivery appointment or the carrier cannot contact you, the order will be held for you for several days at the carrier's facility. After a couple of days, there may be a storage charge from the carrier this service and after a reasonable time, the order will be returned to the manufacturer for credit according to the manufactures returns policy. Delivery to a Business Address

For parcel freight shipments (FedEx, UPS, or USPS), delivery to a business address will be carried out during normal business hours Monday to Friday only. A signature will be requested on delivery. The item will not be left without a signature on file. The carrier is not required to match the signature to the name on the package.

Express Shipment

Express shipping options are not available on all items. Shipping options are shown on each product detail screen.

Delivery Time

Delivery times will depend on the local delivery schedule of the carrier, and with parcel freight, it may not be possible to make an appointment.

Shipping Damage

General Information

In general, the manufacturers that we work with will have the shipper pick up the item(s) damaged during shipping and send you a new product. In some cases, the manufacturer will just send you new parts to replace parts damaged during shipping. This is often quicker than replacing a whole unit. The method used is entirely at the manufacturer’s discretion. If a new unit is sent, it will be sent using the same shipping method and processing time as the original order unless special circumstances apply. If tracking information is available for the replacements it will be sent to you via email.

If a full replacement unit is sent, the original item becomes the property of the manufacturer. Because of this, all items should be kept in their original packaging until you receive further instructions from the manufacturer.

Free Shipping

General Information

From time to time, some products are offered with free shipping. This will be clearly stated on the detailed product description page where you select items to be purchased. Free shipping will only be offered on parcel ground shipments and common carrier truck freight.

Free or reduced rate shipping to our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Air Force personnel

• If you are on active duty and have a military postal address within the lower 48 United States:
  Standard Parcel Ground and Standartd LTL Truck Freight shipping is free. Sorry, we can not afford to give you free shipping on any expedited or express shipping service.
• If you are on active duty in Alaska, Hawaii, any of the United States Territories, Overseas, or Afloat:
  Place your order by phone, email, or fax. We will do everything we can to get your order to you as quickly and economically as possible. We will arrange the terms with you on a case by case basis.
• Thank you all for your service. Most of us here at bbqandfirepitpros.com have been in the military and we appreciate what it means to you.

Shipping Outside the Lower 48 States

Alaska

As you residents of Alaska know, it takes longer and costs more. Not all of our suppliers will ship directly to Alaska. This is shown on the product detail page for all of our products. This does not mean that you cannot get it from us. We can have your product shipped to a terminal in Seattle, WA and forward it from there to you in Alaska. There are additional freight charges involved. If you find something that you want that is not shipped directly to Alaska, you will have to contact us to make the arrangements as this is handled on a case by case basis. See 'Contact Us'.

Hawaii

Hawaiians also know that it takes longer and costs more. Standard ocean shipping takes approximately 4 to 5 weeks from the time the product is delivered to a terminal on the west coast to the time it arrives at Oahu. It typically takes another week to get from Oahu to any of the other islands. Expedited ocean freight, if available, can make it to Oahu in 3 to 4 weeks and then there is always air freight ($$$). Not all of our suppliers will ship directly to Hawaii. This is shown on the product detail page for all of our products. This does not mean that you can not get it from us. We can have your product shipped to a terminal in Seattle, WA and forward it from there to you in Hawaii. There are additional freight charges involved. If you find something that you want that is not shipped directly to Hawaii, you will have to contact us to make the arrangements as this is handled on a case by case basis. See 'Contact Us'.

Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam or any other of the great territories or former territories of the United States

At this time, if our suppliers do not ship directly to your location we can not ship to you. We hope to change that soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. If shipping to your location is available, it is shown on the product details screen.

Canada

We will begin selling and shipping to you Canadians as soon as we get the sales tax paper work figured out.

International Shipping

Currently we do not ship internationally
