Makes: 1 whole chicken
Prep Time: About 5 minutes (the day before)
Cook Time: Smoke for 10 hours
Place the whole chicken in a re-sealable bag, sprinkle in garlic powder and pour in enough lemon-lime soda to cover the bird. Seal the bag and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Pre-heat your outdoor charcoal smoker to 225 degrees F. Remove chicken from the bag and put it on the cooking grate. Discard the marinade. Cover, and cook for 10 hours. Check and maintain the wood chips as usual.
